What if I get locked out of my account?
If you lost access to your mobile device, try one of the following options.
Log in using a recovery code
Recovery codes are 8-character codes that you receive when setting up two-factor authentication. If you have your codes, enter one of them instead of a one-time code when logging in. For more information, see Logging in with a recovery code
Contact us
If you can't find your recovery codes, contact us for assistance. Our team can disable two-factor authentication for your account.
Before we do so, we'll need to make sure that the account belongs to you. To restore access to your account as quickly as possible, please provide some means of identification when submitting your request:
- A copy of a license certificate or invoice from your previous purchase.
- Your legal ID.
- If you’re using a free educational license:
- The academic email address associated with your license.
- A student or teacher ID, or another form of supporting documentation to certify your academic position.
When we confirm your identity, we’ll disable two-factor authentication for you so that you can log in with your regular password only.
Once you restore access to your account, we strongly recommend that you enable two-factor authentication again to protect your JetBrains licenses and personal information from unauthorized access. Make sure to save your recovery codes to avoid getting locked out of your account in the future.
