I am a student in an online course, bootcamp, training class, or similar program. Am I eligible for a free license?

No, only students enrolled in long-term programs of study (longer than one year) qualify for a free educational license.

Students enrolled in short-term online courses, bootcamps, and training classes don't qualify for that license.

IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm offer core features for free. Several other JetBrains IDEs are free for non-commercial use, and a personal subscription is an affordable option for any project. Check out our licensing options.

The bootcamp student-coupon program is being retired, and no new coupons are being issued after October 1, 2026. If you have any questions regarding free licensing for bootcamps and course participants, reach out to us at bootcamps@jetbrains.com.
