Create a JetBrains Account

To create a JetBrains Account:

  1. Go to the account creation page.
  2. Click Create an account.

  3. Choose your preferred registration method: use a third-party authentication provider or register with your email.

Create an account through a third-party authentication provider

To create an account using one of the supported third-party authentication providers:

  1. Click your authentication provider's button. This will redirect you to the provider's website to log in.

  2. Once you've logged in, you'll be redirected to your JetBrains Account.

That's it! You can now use your chosen authentication provider to log in to your JetBrains Account and activate JetBrains software and services.

Register with your email address

To create an account using your email address:

  1. On the registration page, click Continue with email.

  2. Enter your email address and click Continue. If you have more than one email address and are unsure which one to use, check our recommendations.

  3. We'll send you a one-time code to verify your email address. Check your inbox, copy the code, and enter it on the registration page.

  4. Enter your name and create a password to complete registration. To make sure your account is well-protected, we'll ask you to choose a password that meets our security requirements.
  5. Click Create account to be redirected to your account.

That's it! You can now use your email address and password to log in to your JetBrains Account and activate JetBrains software and services.

Password requirements

Your password must be at least 8 characters long. To make your password stronger, we'll ask you to follow these guidelines:

  • Use uncommon words or word combinations instead of frequently used words or phrases.
  • Avoid common character sequences, like 1234 or qwerty, and predictable letter substitutions, like @ for a.
  • Don't include your name or email address in your password.
  • Avoid including dates or recent years in your password.
  • Avoid repeating words or characters.
  • When using capitalization, don't capitalize only the first letter or the entire password – aim for a mix.

Which email address to use for your account

If you have more than one email address, take a moment to figure out which one you're going to use for account registration. 

If you already have JetBrains licenses

When creating an account to access any JetBrains licenses you already have, use the email address that your licenses are associated with. This may be:

  • The email that you entered when buying or requesting your licenses.
  • The email that your organization administrator used to assign a license to you. 

If you have several licenses associated with different email addresses, use any of these emails to register. Once you've created an account, link your other email addresses to it to have all your licenses in one place.

If you don't have any JetBrains licenses yet

You can use any email address that you have access to.

When buying or requesting any JetBrains licenses, make sure to provide the same email address that you used to register. This way, you'll be able to access your new licenses from your account.
