Start a free trial of JetBrains products
Starting an individual trial
To start trials for some JetBrains products, you may need a JetBrains Account. To learn more, refer to this page.
Start a JetBrains IDE trial
- Visit the official JetBrains website and find the specific product you're interested in, such as IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, or WebStorm.
- Click the Download button to download the installer for your operating system and install the selected IDE. Installation instructions for each product are available in our Support Center.
- Launch the product. If it prompts you to activate your license, select the option to start a free trial, and then you’re all set!
Start a plugin trial
Some paid plugins also offer a free trial. Go to JetBrains Marketplace to check if the plugin you’re interested in has a free trial period.
To start a trial, install your chosen JetBrains IDE and then follow these steps:
- Open the plugin management section. In most IDEs, you can access it via File | Settings | Plugins. Our Support Center has detailed instructions for each product.
- Switch to the Marketplace tab and use the search field to look for the desired plugin.
- Install the plugin and restart the IDE.
- After the restart, you will be prompted to activate your plugin license. Select the option to start a free trial, and you're ready to go!
Starting a trial for organizations
If your organization wants to try a JetBrains product for free, contact your account manager, customer success engineer, or our Sales team to request a corporate trial.
Some products, such as IntelliJ IDEA, offer extended trials for organizations. Please feel free to reach out to us for more information and to set up your trial.
