Changes to YouTrack Server subscriptions prices
We’ve introduced a few changes to YouTrack Server subscription pricing, which took effect as of October 1, 2025.
Q: What happens with my YouTrack Server subscription now?
YouTrack Server remains free for any team of up to 10 users. If you’re not planning to increase the number of users, no action is required.
Your YouTrack Server license is perpetual and will continue to work as usual – no immediate action is required.
However, if you have an active or expired upgrade and support subscription, it will continue to work only until its expiration date.
Renewals under legacy pricing are no longer available. As of October 1, 2025, extending your subscription or adding new users and agents is possible only under the updated pricing. When you extend your subscription under the new pricing model, the renewal cost is 50% of the new license price for the selected user pack.

Q: What’s changed – and what’s not?
- The updated pricing now applies to user pack subscriptions for 15, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 750, 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 users. Please refer to this article for the current prices for your pack size. If you have more than 2,000 users, feel free to reach out to us to get a custom offer.
- The 50% renewal discount continues to apply if you renew your upgrade and support subscription within one year after expiration. In this case, you pay 50% of the new license price. After that period, the renewal pricing is no longer available, but you can still purchase a new license and continue using your data.
- Helpdesk remains free for 3 agents and unlimited reporters. For teams with 4 or more agents, the price is USD 72 per agent per year.
- The full feature set, support, and AI Assistance remain included in all subscriptions at no additional cost.
- Discounts for startups, non-profits, educational institutions, and open-source projects remain unchanged.
Q: How has YouTrack Server’s pricing changed?
YouTrack Server continues to offer flexible user pack options, starting from 15 users and scaling up through 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 750, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, and more. The full feature set, support, and JetBrains AI Assistant remain included in all subscriptions at no extra cost.
As of October 1, 2025, extending a subscription or adding new users and agents is only possible at the updated prices. If your support subscription is still active – or expired less than 12 months ago – you can renew it at 50% of the new license price. Discounts for startups, non-profits, educational institutions, and open-source projects remain unchanged.

Q: What is the current Helpdesk pricing?
Helpdesk remains free for 3 agents and unlimited reporters. For teams with 4 or more agents, the price is USD 72 per agent per year.
Q: Will my subscription be canceled now that the new pricing is in effect?
No. Your current upgrade and support subscription remains valid until its expiration date. After that, you can renew your subscription at the new price. Your license remains perpetual – you still own it. Your YouTrack Server will continue to work with the latest product version covered by your upgrade and support subscription period.
Q: I have a legacy YouTrack Server subscription (purchased before August 1, 2020). How is my subscription affected by the pricing changes?
Legacy pricing is no longer available as of October 1, 2025. Your current subscription for updates and support remains valid until its expiration date. To continue receiving upgrades and support after that, you can extend your subscription under the updated pricing.
When your upgrade and support subscription expires, you have one year to renew it with the 50% renewal discount (you pay 50% of the new license price for the selected user pack). After that period, the renewal pricing is no longer available, but you can still purchase a new license and continue receiving upgrades and support.

Q: I have a legacy YouTrack Server subscription (purchased before August 1, 2020). Can I still renew my subscription at the legacy price?
No. As of October 1, 2025, legacy pricing is no longer available. Your current subscription for updates and support will remain valid until its expiration date, but any renewal or addition of users and agents is now only possible under the updated pricing.
Q: I have a legacy YouTrack Server subscription. I want to continue receiving updates and support, but I’d like to switch to a smaller user pack. Is that possible?
Typically, reducing the number of users in a YouTrack Server user pack requires purchasing a new license at the current license price. However, as of October 1, 2025, customers transitioning from legacy YouTrack Server pricing to the new pricing are offered a one-time opportunity to choose a smaller user pack than their current legacy subscription.
This means you can select a smaller user pack and receive a 50% renewal discount off the new license price. After this switch, it will only be possible to increase your YouTrack user limit by purchasing a user pack upgrade.

Q: What if my YouTrack Server support subscription expired more than 12 months ago?
You can continue using YouTrack Server in the latest major release that became available during your active subscription period for as long as you need. However, to resume access to updates and support, you’ll need to purchase a new license, which will be subject to the current pricing at the time of purchase.
