We have updated the YouTrack Cloud legacy user-pack subscription pricing model, effective October 1, 2025.
Q: How do these changes affect me?
Your current user-pack Cloud subscription continues to work until its expiration date. No immediate action is required. However, legacy pricing is no longer available. Renewals are now only possible under the updated per-user pricing model.
To continue using YouTrack after your subscription expires, you need to switch to a per-user subscription. To make this transition easier, when switching to an annual per-user subscription, you receive three extra months free in your first year.
Q: What does the per-user pricing look like?
YouTrack Cloud remains free for teams of up to 10 users.
For teams of 11+ users:
- Monthly: starting from USD 5.40 per user/month
- Annual: starting from USD 4.50 per user/month (includes two months free)
- Discounts increase as you add more users.
Q: What will I get with the per-user plan?
Switching to per-user pricing also unlocks new capabilities not available under your legacy plan, including:
- The flexibility to change the number of users in your subscription – you can reduce or add users at any time.
- Increased cloud storage – 3 GB per user, shared across your YouTrack.
- Access to YouTrack Helpdesk projects – free for up to 3 agents and unlimited reporters.
- The full feature set, support, and AI Assistance are included in the subscription.
Discounts for startups, non-profits, educational institutions, and open-source projects remain unchanged.
Q: I have a YouTrack Cloud legacy user pack subscription. What’s changing for me?
Legacy user-pack subscriptions continue to work until their expiration date, but they can no longer be renewed at legacy prices. Renewals are now only possible under the new per-user pricing. When switching to an annual per-user plan, you’ll receive three extra months free in your first year.
Q: I have a YouTrack Cloud legacy user pack subscription. How will my subscription be affected by the pricing changes?
Extending the subscription or adding new users and agents is available only at the new prices. To continue using your YouTrack after the subscription expiration date, you’ll be asked to switch to a per-user subscription. You can check the pricing in our calculator. Q: Would switching to a per-user subscription be beneficial?
The new per-user subscription gives you access to more flexibility and features than legacy plans:
- You’ll be able to add or remove users as needed – no fixed-size user packs.
- You’ll also get more cloud storage – 3 GB per user.
- You gain access to Helpdesk projects, starting with 3 agents for free and unlimited reporters.
To make this transition easier, we’re offering three extra months free when you switch to an annual per-user subscription. This means you get 15 months for the price of 12, regardless of when you decide to switch. When switching from the annual user-pack subscription, the unused amount that you paid for the current subscription will be subtracted from the price for the new per-user subscription.
Q: Will I lose any of my data when switching?
No. Your entire YouTrack Cloud instance, including projects, tasks, settings, and history, remains intact. Only the subscription model and pricing change.
Q: What happens to my subscription and pricing after the current term ends?
Your subscription will remain active until its new expiration date. After that, your next renewal will be processed under the updated pricing, starting from USD 5.40/month (monthly) or USD 4.50/month (annually).
