Continuity discount: The discount is not applied at renewal

Symptoms

A continuity discount is expected at renewal, but is not applied.

Environment

• Customer type: Commercial
• Region: All regions
• Product: All paid IDE subscriptions

Cause 

The continuity discount applies only to eligible commercial licenses purchased before January 2, 2025, which have been renewed without interruption.

Commercial licenses purchased on or after January 2, 2025, are not eligible for the continuity discount because the program was discontinued for new or downgraded licenses as of that date.

Resolution

1. Check the original purchase date of the subscription
2. If the subscription was purchased before January 2, 2025, and has been renewed without interruption, it has remained eligible for the continuity discount
3. If the subscription was purchased on or after January 2, 2025, downgraded after that date, or renewed with an interruption in the continuous subscription period, no continuity discount is available at renewal
