License renewal via proforma invoice: Activating renewed licenses before payment is received

Symptoms

Licenses have expired, and activation is requested before JetBrains receives the proforma renewal payment.

Environment

• Customer type: Commercial
• Region: All regions
• Product: All paid products

Cause 

Licenses renewed via proforma can only be activated after the renewal payment has been received and processed. A payment confirmation or bank transfer receipt does not trigger license activation.

Resolution

1. Wait until the renewal payment has been received by JetBrains
2. Once the payment is received and processed, the renewed licenses will be activated automatically
3. If uninterrupted access is required while the payment is being processed, request a temporary trial license from JetBrains Sales Support
4. Once the payment is received, the license certificate(s) and final tax invoice will be sent as payment confirmation
