License purchase: Requesting a separate annual subscription outside the co-term date

Symptoms

New licenses are automatically aligned to the expiration date of an existing subscription pack, resulting in a shortened initial subscription period.

Environment

• Customer type: Commercial
• Region: All regions
• Product: All paid products

Cause

The Auto Co-term setting is enabled on the commercial account and aligns new licenses with the configured co-term date.

Resolution

1. Contact Sales Support and provide:
   a. The products and number of new licenses required
   b. The preferred subscription start and expiration dates
   c. The Subscription Pack ID, if the licenses should be added to an existing subscription pack 
2. Choose one of the following options:
   a. Change the configured co-term date
   b. Remove the Auto Co-term setting
   c. Keep the existing co-term date and request a manually prepared quotation for a separate annual subscription 
3. Sales Support will update the Auto Co-term setting or manually prepare and send the requested quotation
