License management: Aligning licenses to the same renewal date

Symptoms

Licenses have different subscription start or expiration dates and need to be aligned to a single renewal date.

Environment

• Customer type: Commercial
• Region: All regions
• Product: All paid subscriptions

Cause 

Licenses purchased at different times may have different expiration dates. They can be co-termed to align their subscription periods and future renewal dates.

Resolution

1. Contact Sales Support and provide:
   a. The Subscription Pack ID(s) or license ID(s) of all licenses that should be co-termed
   b. The products and number of any new licenses to be added, if applicable
   c. The preferred expiration date
2. Sales Support will prepare a quotation to align the licenses to the requested expiration date
3. The price will be adjusted based on the subscription period required to align the licenses
4. After the order is completed, the licenses will share the same expiration date and can be renewed together in the future
