Personal license: Converting to a commercial subscription

Symptoms

A personal subscription should be converted to commercial because it will be used or paid for by an organization.

Environment

• Customer type: Commercial
• Region: All regions
• Product: All paid products

Cause 

According to our Toolbox subscription agreement for individual customers, personal subscriptions are intended for individual developers only and cannot be purchased, used, or reimbursed by organizations.

Resolution

1. Contact Sales Support
2. Provide:
   a. The organization name
   b. The billing address (street, city, zipcode)
   c. The Tax ID, if applicable
3. Sales Support will create a commercial JetBrains Account for the organization
4. The personal subscription will be transferred to the commercial JetBrains Account
5. The continuity discount will be retained, if applicable
6. Future renewals will follow commercial pricing, and invoices will be issued using the organization's billing details
