License activation: Activate an Educational license without reinstalling the IDE
Symptoms
An Educational license needs to be activated in an already installed IDE without reinstalling it.
Environment
- Customer type: Student
- Region: All regions
- Product: All IDEs
Resolution
- In the IDE, navigate to Help | Manage Subscriptions
- Select the option to activate the license using your JetBrains Account
- Sign in with your JetBrains Account credentials (email address and password)
- The Educational license will be activated without reinstalling the IDE
